It’s ALL here! And so quiet….,
My 27 year old Cuisinart DLC8 finally died. So, I bought its replacement and it was a HUGE disappointment. I returned it and lived without for four months. But the holiday baking season was approaching so I started reading everything I could and found the Braun. I wanted a couple of extra attachments that required an out-of-stock insert. So, I called the super friendly and helpful folks at Duddy’s Electronics and found out they had the food processor and every attachment it could ever need for a great price. It arrived quickly and was packed well.
The footprint is a little larger than my old machine but I love the variable speed and it really is quiet. I used attachments to make lots of cookie recipes and it even handled my Christmas poppyseed pastry recipe that included 6 cups of flour and six eggs! I was tempting fate a bit with this recipe but it worked just fine. I did need to get a small bin to hold all the wonderful attachments.
Only one thing it didn’t master was making egg whites with stiff peaks but I was trying to do this with 2 eggs so it may not have been enough to work. I’ll test whipping cream tomorrow…if it doesn’t work, I’ll report back.
My Kitchen Aid mixer sat dormant this season. I wonder if it will move to the cupboard.

Through the years I have killed 4 food processors, 2 Kitchenaid’s 2 Cuisinart’s. Figured it was time to try a new brand. I received the Braun today, it did everything well that I tried today except for slicing salami it completely failed at that (but I don’t slice salami very often so no big deal). Today I chopped some cilantro, onion & garlic for some guacamole, I then added my avocado and made some nice chunky guacamole. Did a great job & didn’t need to keep opening the lid to push the ingredients down to process. I used the fine shredder attachment to shred cheddar cheese. It did a very good job, the speed control worked well for this, I had a lot less waste using the Braun, with other machines a lot of cheese would get stuck on the top and not shred and turn into a gooey mess, I only had a small amount of cheese that didn’t shred and what was left was still firm and usable. I used the slicer for carrots and it did a very good job slicing. The juicer worked well and didn’t spray juice every where. The french fry attachment works OK, it made pretty tiny fry’s I will need to work with it more. As long as this machine lasts more than a few years I will be extremely happy.

|Braun Food Processor,
This is a wonderful food processor! I have owned my current processor since 1987 that I bought from another company and it still works. The only reason I purchased a new one is I wanted one with a larger bowl capacity and it had to have the different speed selections. This one from Braun has all the features I was looking for and I have used it several times since I received it with great satisfaction. Anyone looking for a nice size bowl capacity with different speeds and different blades for all kinds of food prep should look into this processor.
