Great blender/mixer. Cant beat it for the price,
I use my blender almost daily. When I got the chance to try this blender out, I jumped at it. A single serving size blender that actually works seems like a fanstasy, I had to try it.
This blender comes with a base unit, 3 cups, a blender lid/blade attachment, and several assorted lids and accessories. The blender unit itself is hefty, seems well built and solid. The cups, lids and accessories are all plastic and feel relatively cheap, but what can you expect in this price range? The blade unit is actually the lid to the cups as well during blending, the blade screws onto the top of the cup, which is then flipped upside down onto the blender base. After blending, the blade unit is removed and a ring or lid can be screwed onto the cup for use or storage.
This is a great idea. Better than the Bullet blenders in my opinion. You can pre-make smoothie ingredients in the cups and store them in the refridgerator or freezer, then in the morning just swap to the blending lid and blend it up, switch back to a drinking lid or ring and youre on your way out the door!
This unit was perfectly functional and works great. Chops fruit to ice and everything in-between. The plastic does have a cheap feel to it and I am curious as to how long it will take before they crack or the seals wear out, as either problem will cause serious issue for a blender requiring you to flip the container upside down (and sealed) onto the blender base.
There was a rather serious safety issue as well. While there was a small sticker warning of it, it seemed a bit small considering the potential problem. It is easily possible to put the blending/chopping lid onto the blender base without being installed on a cup. This leaves the sharp spinning blades completely unguarded if you were to press down to activate the blender. I know it seems like something no sane person would do, but with it in your hand and looking at it, it is easy to consider how this may happen to the unwary or thoughtless user. Doing this would obviously cause severe damage to the users hand. Seemed odd for a modern product to have such an obvious safety issue, and the only protection against it was a small sticker on the side waring not to do that (mine was barely sticky and falling off when I took it out of the box.)
Overall, I think this blender works great. I love that you dont have to clean up a big mess after every use, just blend what you want in your cup, then use the cup. All you have to do is rinse off the blades after blending, then wash the cup when youre done. Long term, due to the seals and quality of the cups, I doubt you will be passing this blender down to you kids, but for a blender that actually works well in this price range, does that really matter?

|Bigger, Faster, Stronger than the Magic Bullet,
I’ve been using a Magic Bullet for the last couple of years and have been quite pleased with it. We have a larger blender, but it hasn’t gotten very much use recently since we got the Magic Bullet. I love the size and convenience of it.
So, why try out the Big Boss?
Well, because while I like the Magic Bullet, it’s not been quite as all purpose as I might want. The Big Boss is everything the Magic Bullet is but a bit stronger, a bit bigger, a bit more versatile. I’d definitely recommend this to friends instead of the Magic Bullet because it does everything I want it to do, and does it bigger and better. All without being so much bigger that it might as well be a regular blender or food processor. It is bigger enough, stronger enough, and better enough to just beat out my old Magic Bullet.

|We Love this Blender at Our House,
At first I was skeptical about this blender, like I am about all those gadgets you see on TV and the Big Boss claims about what it could do. No more. It grinds coffee beans so coffee grinder in our kitchen. It makes smoothies quick as a wink, so no more big blender in our kitchen. It purees tomatos in an instant, so my wife’s famous marinara sauce is now made with real tomatos and not the canned kind and it’s better than Newman’s Own as far as I’m concerned (Honey if you’re reading this, your’s is better, it really is).
I don’t know what more to say other than it chops ice into snowy crush, so you can make those great coffee drinks and say goodbye to Starbucks. It cleans easily and it’s not an ugly looking thing in our kitchen. We’re in love love relationship with this blender at our house.
